The name of this village comes from its situation next to the walls of the former hunting places of Suscinio castle. Surrounded with marshes, it is renowned for its oyster farming.

Tascon island is linked to the land by a small road which can be used 2 hours before and after low tide. During winter it’s also a good place to watch migrators in the gulf, among them thousands of bernacles.
The ancient salinas of Lasné were artificially created in the 17th century by salt-marsh workers from Guérande for the monks of Saint-Gildas. In the 60s they had completely disappeared but a restoration project has taken place these years and a salt marsh worker has begun to produce salt again; this is now a place of discovery where you can also buy your salt.
